Jun Kannazuki, a college student, takes a summer job at C Court, a struggling third-rate tennis magazine. Sent to cover the US Open on his own, he crosses paths with Ai Funatogawa, a rising Japanese player with a unique playing style. As he follows her journey, he gets pulled deeper into the intense world of professional tennis, making him question his own direction.
